South Indian Special-Idli

Ingredients

For Instant Idli Mix 

  • 1 cup urad dal 
  • 1/2 cup thin poha (flattened rice)
  • 2 cup rice flour 
  • 1/2 tsp salt 
For Idli Paste 
  • 1 cup Instant Idli Mix 
  • 1/4 cup curd
  • 1/2 cup water 
  • 1 cup water
  • eno (fruit salt) 1/4 tsp 




How To Make In Gujarati 

Instant Idli Mix 
  • urad dal lo ane yehne dry roast karo for 2 mins on low flame ane pachi side par muko 
  • pachi poha lo yehne dry roast karo for 1 min  on low flame ane pachi side par muko 
  • hawe urad dal ane poha ne bewe ne grind karilo ane powder banawilo 
  • hawe rice flour lo ane yehne 1 min maate dry roast karo  on low flame
  • hawe aa rice flour ne urad dal n poha wala mixture ma add karido 
  • pachi yeh mixture ma salt add karo 
  • pachi yeh mixture ne barabar mix karilo 
  • instant idli mix tayyar 
  • air-tight-container ma store karjo 
Instant idli 
  • 1 cup instant idli mix (upar banawa nu method batayo che)
  • idli mix ma 1/4 curd ane 1/2 cup water add karo ane barabar mix karilo 
  • pachi yehma 1 cup water add karo ane thick paste banawo jema gatha na hoi 
  • pachi yehma eno add karo ane barabar mix karilo
  • hawe idli stand je market ma ready male che yehna par pehla oil si greace karilo 
  • ane pachi aa thick batter ne yehma bharilo
  • ane pachi steam karilo for 15 mins 
  • agar steamer na hoi toh cooker use karjo ane whistle(siti) na lagavjo
  • 15 mins tak steam karjo 
  • ane pachi idli stand ma thi nikaljo
  • idli ready serve with sambhar and cocunut chutney  

How To Make In English 

Instant Idli Mix 
  • first take urad dal and dry roast it for 2 mins  on low flame and keep aside 
  • then take flattened rise dry roast it for 1 min  on low flame and keep aside 
  • now mix urad dal and flattened rice and grind it .... it should become powder
  • now take rice flour and dry roast for 1 min  on low flame
  • now mix rice flour & urad dal + flattened rice mixture 
  • add salt in it and mix well
  • instant idli mix ready 
  • store it in air tight container 
Instant idli 
  • Take 1 cup instant idli mix 
  • add curd to it 
  • add 1/2 cup water to it 
  • mix well thick mixture with lumps
  • add 1 cup water, thick paste without lumps 
  • now add eno in it and mix well
  • grease the idli stand with oil (idli stand readily available in market)
  • now pour the batter in it 
  • steam it for 15 mins 
  • if u dont have steamer use cooker without putting whistle to it 
  • cook for 15 mins 
  • take the idli out from idli stand serve with sambhar and cocunut chutney
